Hard to believe it has been 46 years. The first episode, The Man Trap, aired on Sept. 8, 1966, or Stardate 1513.1. Quite a celebration with even Google having fun with its letterhead. The only complete episode I was able to find was on Vimeo, but it is in Castellano. Oh well!

You Tube used to have many if not all episodes of the first year. Dunno why they don't any more. But try this site:

From year 2 ~ my all time favorite episode: "Assignment Earth"
ReplyDeleteRobert Lansing & beautiful Teri Garr
Not considered a particularly good episode by critics but it was very timely for 1968. Anti war advocates should love this one.

Ach - the videos in this site stop too often. Terribly annoying.
ReplyDeleteWill try to find some other site that has the episodes without interruptions.
It bemused that it took so long for the original pilot, "The Cage," to see the light of day in "The Menagerie." Pike struck me as a more emotionally secure captain than Kirk, and it was interesting how Roddenberry played up the differences in the two-part episode.
ReplyDeleteFinally found a site that has old Star Trek episodes:
