Lanterns on the Levee

Watching Treme, I find myself with the urge to go back and read William Alexander Percy's classic memoir.

  1. I have never heard of the book.Looks very interesting though.Thanks.

  2. Beautiful introduction by Walker Percy, as he describes the vast influence his uncle William had him and this two brothers, taking them all in as teenagers when Walker's parents died.

Read the first three chapters as well, which are wonderfully captivating.
