Meander Where You May?

Gintaras and others:

How do you feel about having an ongoing meander corner where we can initiate other conversations? Seems like there will always be book-related conversations that meander beyond the boundaries of American history, biography, and literature. That said, I can take it down, if there's no interest.

  1. You can always meander from one topic to another simply by posting it and having others respond. This is the way these blogs are set up.

  2. ... and you can always refresh a topic by posting it again if it gets buried too far down in the post. But, the blog archive acts a de facto site index.

  3. I figured as much -- just sort of struck me with Chartes' comment about being "on topic" that it might be fun to keep an "off-topic" area going.

Plus, how can you resist all those meanders? I think I'm leaning toward the uncontrolled scrolls myself.

  4. The diagrams are great. At first I thought they were skin cross sections.

  5. This is my own meandering side: it's from a fluvial geomorphology site, to help predict meandering for floodplain control.
