Commemorating the National Park Service

If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm a stamp collector.  Here's one of my favorites - a 1934 impression of Mesa Verde.  The Postal Service came out with a series on National Parks that year.  A friend called my attention to this fantastic monument.  I had the good fortune of visiting Mesa Verde back in 1987.

  1. And I'm a national park collector ... one Christmas a friend gave me a parks "passport" that you get stamped. At some point I'd love to make a western trek and have all the parks stamped in my book.

  2. I picked up a passport like that for the kids when we traveled out West in 1999. I wish I could find it.

  3. I'll be in Yellowstone in a couple weeks -- I can pick one up for you if you don't mind starting over!

  4. It will be a long time before we get out West again, av, but thanks very much for the offer.
